Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 June 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and [Legal entity name] (“Channelsum”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the Channelsum website and service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Channelsum connects to your online marketplace accounts (such as bol.com, Amazon, Kaufland, and ManoMano) using read-only API credentials you provide, retrieves your sales and order data, and presents it as an aggregated per-product, per-country summary with native currencies reconciled to a single EUR total. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- The service is intended for businesses and for individuals acting in a professional or commercial capacity who are at least 18 years old.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
3. Licences & payment
- One-time licences. Channelsum is sold as a one-time licence for a fixed term — currently a 1-year licence and a 5-year licence. These are not auto-renewing subscriptions; there is nothing to cancel.
- Prices & taxes. Prices are shown on our website. VAT or other applicable taxes are added at checkout where required. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; by paying, you also accept their terms.
- Term & expiry. Your licence grants access for the term you purchased, starting on activation. When the term ends, access to the application is blocked until you purchase a new licence. We may send reminders but are not obliged to.
4. Right of withdrawal & refunds
For business customers, all sales are final and non-refundable once the licence is activated, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
Where you qualify as a consumer under EU law, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By purchasing and starting to use the service within that period, you expressly request that performance begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. To request a withdrawal where it applies, contact support@channelsum.com.
5. Marketplace connections & your responsibilities
- You authorise Channelsum to use the read-only credentials you provide to access your own marketplace data on your behalf.
- You confirm you have the right to connect those accounts and to share that data with us, and that doing so does not breach any marketplace’s terms or applicable law.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and security of the credentials you enter and for revoking them on the marketplace side if needed.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service unlawfully or in breach of any third party’s rights;
- attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours, or probe, scan, or breach security;
- reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, or create derivative works of the service except as permitted by law;
- disrupt or overload the service, or use automated means to extract data beyond intended use; or
- upload malware or use the service to store or transmit unlawful content.
7. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Channelsum or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for the duration of your licence. You retain ownership of your own business data; you grant us the limited rights needed to host and process it to provide the service.
8. No professional advice; data accuracy
Channelsum is a data-summarisation tool. It is not a tax, accounting, VAT/OSS, or legal advisory service, and nothing it produces constitutes professional advice. You are responsible for verifying figures and for your own tax and regulatory filings, and you should consult a qualified professional. While we work to retrieve and aggregate data accurately, results depend on the data and APIs provided by the marketplaces, which we do not control and cannot guarantee.
9. Availability & “as is”
We aim to keep the service available and reliable but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We may perform maintenance, and third-party marketplaces or providers may change or restrict their APIs, which can affect functionality.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Channelsum will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the licence in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Channelsum harmless from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of any law or third-party rights, including any marketplace’s terms.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that risks harm to Channelsum, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination, your right to use the service ends; some provisions (such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity) survive.
13. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Changes to the service & these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of [EU member state], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of [EU member state] have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory statutory rights.
